The current glory of Fortnite is a success in itself for Epic Games. Its popularity stems from Fortnite: Save The World which is a co-op game with the nuances of Minecraft and Left 4 Dead. Then, thanks to the virality of PUBG at that time, Epic Games finally released Fortnite Battle Royale which has now made it better known by gamers. However, recently it seems like Fortnite is better known as one of the games with a crossover event from various games, films and other pop culture characters. Previously, Fortnite managed to add various heroes from other games such as Master Chief, Kratos and Lara Croft. Now it’s Aloy’s turn from Horizon Zero Dawn who is ready to appear as the newest character.

Through the PlayStation Blog, Aloy is said to be a part of the Gaming Legend Series outfits at Fortnite. The Legend Series itself is a series of rare items and outfits that usually consist of a number of iconic figures from various games. The plan, Aloy will be available starting April 15. In addition, there is also a variety of other content with the theme Horizon Zero Dawn. Some of them are Glinthawk Glider, Spear Pickaxe, Heart-Rizon emote, Shield-Weaver skin for weapons and vehicles, and backbling in the form of a Blaze Container. PS5 users will also get the Ice Hunter Aloy Style outfit, which is inspired by Horizon Zero Dawn’s Banuk Ice Hunter Outfit.

Not only new characters, Fortnite will also hold a Limited Time Mode event with Aloy and Lara Croft. The event will start on April 16 where random players will play as Lara Croft and Aloy in Duos mode. The weapons used are also specific to each character. Aloy can only use arrows and a bow and then Lara Croft will use her iconic weapon, the Dual Pistol. This event will last for 2 days only until 18 April 2021.

Initially, the presence of Aloy’s character was discovered through a leak regarding the latest update revealed by ShinnaBR through his Twitter account. Shortly after these rumors, Playstation and Epic Games finally officially announced via the PlayStation Blog. Aloy plans to be present at Fortnite both on the PlayStation 4/5 platform and is likely to be available on the PC platform as well.
